I am planning on taking up a group starting 4 or 5 am 10/18, don't know if that fits in with what you are planning?

FINALLY! Are you going all the way up or stopping at the tram?
Better start at 4. or earlier and going with Tina or someone else that can get you past the first parts would be a good idea.

i'm going to camp at round valley on friday night so planning on leaving early on friday morning from the museum, probably around 6am, sounds like from what everyone says 6am would be an OK time, might get a bit hot though on the trail...is that too late?

hi reego, most people on this board will tell you that 6am might be a bit late. i think it depends on how fast you hike. the sooner you can get some elevation to beat the heat the better. if you are not familiar with the trail i would say a little earlier just to be safe. this is just my opinion.

Tina,

I'm only planning on heading out there on the 18th. I'm planning a big hike on the 11th too (a warm-up, so to say), probably around baldy, maybe a 6 peak baldy loop 6000-7000 ft gain.

Going all the way of course!

I might have some people who have gone before, either way we'll have gps and I might coordinate to start around the same time that some other people are going that day. I think ~ 4 am
