C2C in November?

I know weather changes rapidly at high elevation but, generally speaking, what is the weather like on Skyline/C2C in:

1. Early, mid, late October?
2. Early, mid, late November?

Usually very pleasant and dry, but occasionally there are big storms. Probably the biggest issue is hypothermia if it rains a lot. Once in awhile there is decent snow by Thanksgiving, but usually only dustings. Sorry for the vagueness, but that's as accurate as I can be.

Is the amount of daylight in November a factor?

And it sounds like the lower elevation temps begin to go down in October too.

kd brings up a good point. Hiking in October will be less daylight. If still hot hiking would be mostly in the dark anyway and the return shouldn't be an issue. But if weather is cooler, making day hiking more enjoyable (and tolerable) then daylight could be a factor.

Any thoughts on daylight in October? Earlier in October means more light but possibly higher temps and later means less light and possible storms. Last year there was a big rain in late September, however, that was unusual. Just trying to narrow down a good hiking time but it sounds like there will be a good window for hiking this fall.

Debating whether to go weekend of October 11-12 or 18-19. Either way, it should be busy on the mountain after the tram reopens.

I haven't been up the Skyline Trail in a long time - I'm looking forward to a hike up it in October too.
