Cy: Yes, in a way it does look like San Jacinto from that angle. I wonder what the elevation gain/mile is on snow creek? I guess I'll have to try to figure that out. On Borah it averaged about 1500 feet gain/mile, but the first couple of miles were about 2000 feet gain/mile.
My legs don't usually hurt too much after a hike these days, but going down the steep slope on Borah caused me to wake up the next day with pretty sore legs.
I've been having fun trying to do some state/county highpoints - it's helping me to see places that I've never been to. I'm hoping I find that perfect place to move to in about 7 years when I turn 55 and quit the 8 to 5 routine. Next month it's Elbert in Colorado and Wheeler Peak in New Mexico.
