Water Report: Big Loop

Willow Creek: good flow.

Not much between there and Strawberry Junction. Springtime usually has more options.

The next creek (Deer Springs I think) was just a stagnant puddle in a dark area. I passed. But if I was desperate...it is water. Using a coffee filter before purification might be more pleasant, maybe more effective.

Between Marion Mountain/Seven Pines Junction and Fuller Ridge Junction was a stream with decent flow.

Bed springs below Little Round Valley: good flow. Over the trail a little bit.

Little Round Valley: good flow.

Round Valley faucet: good steady flow.

That's what I can remember, given how tired I am. It was very pleasant.

What, six breaks for water and you were still tired?

But seriously, thanks for the post. I wish I had seen it before Saturday, when I did the Marion Mtn trail to San J. I could have carried less water, and we might have timed it to run into each other...well, maybe not, I started at 5:00 (first light) and you usually start later, but your previous post sounded like you've been getting up early for runs...anyway, good job on the loop.

Only 4 water breaks. I skipped Deer Springs and Round Valley.

I'm trying to get up earlier... If I do, I'll listen for the sounds of a Misty Mate squirt bottle on Skyline...
