Water and Heat

Postby hikin1 » Mon Jun 23, 2008 9:49 am

We have a Fri-Sat planned this week, coming up from Humber Park, Wellman's Divide, Peak and then overnight at Round Valley. Wondering if anyone has data for water reliability and potential heat issues - we will be hitting the trail head at 0600. We have a few trail newbies who will need extra attention and want to cover all aspects to ensure their fun and safety. Some have bailed out due to the temperatures we experienced last week in San Diego. Thanks!

I went up to the peak yesterday 6/22 sunday and there were a bunch of people coming down from camping, the pipe at round valley seemed to be flowing pretty good, and the creek was still strong. Yes it was hot, but manageable, water is your friend out there.
