Report: Backpacking 4/12 - 4/13

This weekend I went with my group through Humber Park > Devils Slide > Saddle Junction and then SE towards Tahquitz Valley.
From Saddle Junction, without crampons we could not get far, maybe .25 mile and spent the night at camp 3B - Chinquapin Zone. The snow coverage in the area is still 60-70%. I am glad I marked the camp site and the trail with my GPS last fall because some of it is still under the snow and would be difficult to find otherwise.
The temperature at night was in the mid 30's, the water bottle we left outside never froze (yeah, I lost that bet). To my surprise, the strong wind died around 5pm and never came back.

Can you tell me how you posted them, I have Picasa, but don't know how to do this.

- Make sure that you have the latest version of Picasa (2.7 as of today).

- In Picasa, select the pictures you would like to publish (control-a will select all in one folder)

- Now, from the top menu, click Folder and select Export as HTML Page

- You probably should reduce the photo size to speed up load time, I chose 1024 pixels width

- Select local hard disk folder to save the new gallery to. I usually save to Desktop, so it's easy to find. Click Next.

- Select your template (I use the 2nd one from the top). Click Finish.

- Your new gallery will open up in the default browser for its preview.

- Next step is to upload your gallery to the web site. I use 1&1 Internet hosting, which offers plans from $4 a month (I use their business package for many sites of mine).

- You need to use an FTP client, such as FileZilla (free) to upload the gallery to your site.
