Indian Canyons to Jo Pond/Cedar Springs

I am wanting to hike it before it gets much warmer but get frustrated with the 8:00am gate openning.

Anyone know a path around?
Can I just leave the $10 at the gate and walk in?
Don't they realize that nature is beautiful before 8:00am?

I have had several "heated" battles with them over the 8am rule magikwalt. Been forced to climb in the back of their truck while some young Indian guy drove me out of there. This was after hiking from 74 over. Oh, i forgot to mention, i had a seasons pass to the IC as well!

The thing i forced out of them is that for groups wishing to hike in or out prior to the 8am rule, we would have to make a request through the corporate office. Who knows. . .haven't done that yet.

By the way, i am here for two more weeks and want to do one more good hike before a scheduled 4-12 c2c ascent with Doreen and Tina. Are you heading up the Jo Pond soon?

Sorry for not seeing this earlier. I had intended to do Jo Pond this Saturday but now have a family event to attend in San Diego.
