Met Jim Bakos SAR on first tram up

About 16 members of SAR took the first tram up today for snow training. I finally got to meet Jim Bakos. The tram operator said that six people were rescued somewhere on San Jacinto about two weeks ago. Does anyone know the details? Inge the SAR dog was spooked by the helicopter and was missing for a few hours. I also found out that the body of Dean Christie was found in the Green Valley area missing since early January.
Now is the time to get your annual pass if you ride the tram a lot. It is going up to $160 in summer - a $40 dollar increase. I dont know what the one day fare will be.

That's still a good deal at $160 per year, especially for a desert resident who goes up frequently. At $13 per month it's cheaper and better than any gym membership.
