Well yah. Can't fool me into thinking that taking caffine during an athletic event is because it tastes good or it supplements nutrients or somehow is needed to make the hike more enjoyable. Or to attempt to normalize its use by saying that its been a social drink throughout the world for ages and that justifies its use to gain an advantage by unnaturally raising your heart rate so you can beat someone or improve your time. Not me man. Oh and by the way, I walked that Gabrielino Trail on Saturday. All 28.5 miles of it. I started at six am at JPL and finished at six pm at Chantry Flats. I did it w/o caffeine and I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE! I wanted to do that Rabbit Peak hike that simonov did on utube but my hiking buds bailed on me and I aint doing that hike alone.

Vanity is definitely my favorite sin. Satan. (I spelled it right this time Hal :D)

My last 2 posts were all kidding. :)

Thanks for pointing out my circle. That should be worth something. Maybe not a pleasant something, but something nevertheless. 8)

The reason I said "not a pleasant something" is that there may be people out there who feel that 360 posts is excessive.

Me, too.

By the by, tried the PowerGels this weekend. Loved them! Easy to consume. Felt great (altho can't be sure it wasn't a placebo effect; but I'll take it anyway :P ). Empty wrappers were a bit sticky in my pockets. But definitely going to load up on 'em.
