I speak English English, watch football where the players use their feet, eat cheese that smells, and, if necessary, am prepared to wear a red carnation!

The rules are pretty simple. Bring something to share. I truly don't care what it is. If you drink sodas, beer or wine then bring more than you can drink. If you eat chips and salsa then bring more than you can eat. We are getting together for the meeting and greating not the critiquing.

As Perry and ZippetyDude can tell you I love to stick out my hand and say hello to people I know on the trail. Sure hope to meet a bunch of new poeple on Saturday.

I had someone ask me why Mark would be wearing a red carnation to the gathering. Only one thing came to mind.

He must be a fan of The Dons. I lived just below Aberdeen for 3 years and was there in 1984-85 when they won the league. I wore a #12 jersey for every home game and was proud to be part of the Red Army.

Hi all. I hope to be able to come this Saturday, and will be bringing along my wife if her schedule allows. Anyone bringing their kids? Cynthia, anyone else? I've been thinking about bringing mine along, as I'm a family kind of guy and usually travel with my pack. If they have others to play with, I'll probably bring them.

Incidentally, if anyone has been "lurking" on the site without posting for a while, but is tempted to come, please come join in the fun! See you there.

I hadn't thought about bringing the kids (they're normally at their dad's on the weekends) but I'm sure he won't mind if I 'borrow' them and bring them along so Zip's kids have fellow conspirators while we boring old adults stand around yapping about mountains. Mine are 9/7/4, so hopefully it will be a good age match for y'all ...and if there are any really immature adults who were hesitant to come before, now you have a good excuse to show up ....free pony rides!

I would love to meet everyone but I will be in Texas this weekend visiting my son who just returned from a deployment in the Middle East.
