Just kidding, your post didn't come through, but you're ahead of me, since I haven't figured out how to quote people yet.
Did you notice he wished us "God luck"?
I assume that's considerably better than the more common "Good luck".
I don't mean to make fun, but I have noticed that if I forget to log in and I'm "Guest" myself, I can't go back and edit it, so I'm stuck with whatever I put, including little typos.
Incidentally, I would heartily recommend South Fork for a first timer. It lets you bail out at Horse Meadow if you get tired early on, or at the Wilderness Boundary, or at Slushy Meadow, or at Dollar Lake, or at Dry Lake...
The first time I did San G as a trail run, I had already done all of the above as training runs, so I knew the area and was used to the mountain terrain.
By the way, I just did Vivian this morning, and it is a very beautiful trail after the first mile, so both are great trails.
