My son and I are planning on getting our shoeshoes dirty this weekend. How are the conditions around the Tram

Along the same lines, I'm intending to catch the first tram up Friday. Of course this will be during what looks to be the heaviest of storm days. I'd prefer to go on Saturday but schedule doesn't allow it. I know the tram will probably be running during the storm (if its not too windy), my question is, does the website post operating status or what is the earliest I could call to see if they are running?

Not going Friday. Wouldn't be smart. Pushing out a couple days. Sunday's weather looks better and there will be tons of fresh snow!

Hi winter wonderers,

About the only time I've seen the tram close is high, high, (50+), winds in Chino Canyon, electrical issues, (which can happen with the powerline running along TP ridge, or if things, (like the tramcar doors) begin freezing & unable to thaw. Also, the parking can get crazy, as can 1-3+ hr. waits if 1/2 of SoCal show up.

Still may be a chance of a decade to see this much powder!
