Great article on your Skyline. I am saving it.

I've talked to Verdi and may not do the C2C portion of their 22,000 ft weekend. I don't have winter gear and still remember how exhausting Skyline was when it was nice and warm

They made it sound like I was faster than Doreen, but she was waiting for us at Coffmans Crag. I would not be surprised if the snow level is around 6000 ft. Its been pouring in Rialto most of the day and expected to go into tomorrow morning. I tried calling 760 327 0222 but it has been busy.

It was raining when I left Palm Springs at 1:00am on Saturday morning. The Windy Point and Snow Creek area got a through soaking so snow should be laying in on the trees above 8000 ft.

Looking at it from the house this morning its only seen towards the peak.

I read the article and think he did a good job of paying tribute to both of you. I always enjoy coming across either of you on the trail. I think the article might be a nice add to the site so that persons new to the board can access it.

We should get more hiking participants on our message board. Sean mentioned the url of this website. Walt, you are right about the good advertising in the form of hits and more visitors.
Next week is supposed to be fairly warm, so the snow should melt soon below the upper tram station. Thats two weeks in a row we have had cold and windy weather there. This going half way just wont do

I happened across the messageboard yesterday and saw the article. I was on the trail that day along with 3 others (our first ascents). I remember passing 3 groups on the latter part of the hike. One of those groups was Cy and Sean (I distictly remember them since Cy was wearing a sweater). I didn't realize who he was until I met Patricia and Jack at the tram station, who proceeded to tell me about him. Quite amazing efforts for both highlighted in the article. Once is nearly enough for me but over 200 each? Incredible!
