C2C on 25 May

Hello,

East Coast hiker will be in CA on a business trip, and plan to play hooky for a day and hike C2C for the 2nd time (1st was in 2013). Forecast looks benign, planning on a 0400 start time, will move it to 0300 if the forecast changes for the hotter. Any changes to trail conditions since 2013 that would be useful for me to know? I'm planning on leaving from museum this time (Ramon Rd last time). Is it copacetic to park in the museum lot, or better to find public parking nearby?
