Conditions: San Jacinto Peak via Marion Mountain Trail

Planning on hiking to the San Jacinto Peak via Marion Mountain Trail on the Feb 27. Need to know what the current conditions are. Are crampons and Ice Axes needed?

I hiked Devil's Slide from Humber Park today. Snow was present from almost the start of the trail. I recommend spikes or crampons. After hiking to about 8500' snowshoes are definitely needed. In the afternoon the snow was very soft and slushy.
