South Ridge Trail Access

Postby adepssimius » Tue Dec 22, 2015 5:12 pm

Has anybody been through the road to south ridge trail and know if it is passable currently? I can hike it if I get there, I just need to know if I can get there.

You could always hike in to the trailhead...

Of course I could, but I'm a lazy hiker with time constraints.

Just got back from hiking south ridge. High clearance 2WD is OK to make it to the trailhead. Microspikes are a must to get to the lookout tower. I made it about 5 switchbacks from the tower with just poles and careful steps, but the ice was getting too bad to continue without.

Ah. Got it.

Good spot to be careful. A fall there would be really not good.
