Springs on West Side of San Jacinto

I hiked up the Marion Mt Trail on Wed June 10, a cool and foggy day, great for hiking.
First stop checking on Bud Springs above 9600 feet and found good water still running.

Then on to Deer Springs below the trail about ½ from Marion Mt Trail Junction.

So good water to be found if you look for it on the West Side of the San Jacinto Mountains.
Maybe next week I will go out of the Tramway and see what I can find.

Good info. I don't know if you were aware of it, but I've started compiling a map of water sources in the San Jacintos. It's by no means comprehensive yet.

I believe the water from Bud Springs is the primary source for the Middle Fork of Stone Creek (see map). Is that correct?

I’m heading up Fuller Ridge and staying at Little Round Valley (LRV) this weekend. Sounds like I should be prepared to haul all of my water and maybe get lucky with some water at Bed Springs along Deer Springs Trail just southwest of LRV—sound about right? Just wanted to double check my route and how it coincides with RMRUpete’s information here.

You can get plenty of water where the Deer Springs Trail crosses the Bed Springs Drainage and just carry it up a short distance to Little Round Valley. You do not have to carry it all the way up the Fuller Ridge. Just carry what you need to get to the Bed Springs crossing of the Deer Springs Trail.

No luck needed; the water at upper and lower Bed Springs should be flowing. You'll cross it on the Fuller Ridge Trail before you come to the junction with the Deer Springs Trail. Then you'll turn left on the Deer Springs Trail and cross it again on your way to LRV. There might even be water at Rock or Lilly Springs, but I wouldn't count on those two.
