What's the water situation on the summit loop right now? Is there water at Little Round Valley and Wellman Cienega?

At last report, yes. It would be nice to have a more current report.

Bed Springs will also have water as will Bud Springs. Strawberry Cienega was a trickle at last report, but we did just get some snow.

Went up to the peak from Saddle Junction on Saturday, May 23 to put a new register notebook in the hut.

Several trickles at Wellman's Cienega, filled a liter bottle in about 2 minutes.

Water pooled about 2 inches deep, you could pump or scoop, but was a little murky.

Up the hill a few yards there was a good pool to filer too but I didn't take a photo.

San Jacinto River passed the Little Round Valley campground has a good flow as of 7/1/2015.

There is also a little flow off deer springs trail just passed strawbeerry campground.

The Eastern side of the Mt. does not have any water. Wellman's Cienega and Round Valley's Spring are both dry.

The State Park Employees told me to pack in all the water I expected to use and not rely on the natural springs.

Good advice :!:

Sounds like you're talking about Bed Springs Crossing. It's after you leave Little Round Valley on the Deer Springs Trail but before you get to the Deer Springs Camp area. (where you're not supposed to camp, but it's still called Deer Springs Camp).

Sounds like Joyce Spring.

Have you seen my San Jacinto Water map? I've got everything marked out on the map.
