Too cool, I was wondering what the weather was going to look like yesterday on the mountain.... And heres my answer. Decided to go to borego state park yesterday instead of deer springs trail. Weather was perfect at 80 degree's and got to see a sheep and her baby about thirty Yard's ahead of us on the palm canyon trail.

I'm sorry I missed the company and the scenery, but it was probably just as well that I sat this one out. For the record, folks, I was under the weather and decided not to hike. I cheated and took the tram up, walked to Grubb's Notch, and then down the trail maybe a hundred vertical and ambushed Ellen and Marilyn on their way up. Now THAT'S the easy way to complete Skyline!

Beautiful pictures, Ellen!

Magnifimous!

Great timing for a hike.

Altitude recapitulates latitude
and reinvigorates attitude.

Thanks for the lovely pics!

Oh, and where is the black monolith?

Excellent Ellen, those are the climbs to bank into our memories!
I was on Devil's Slide with some gals, we we're supposed to hike from tram to Idyllwild, (but spent the night in Idy instead).
We met lots & lots of thru-hikers, a real treat, as always, then a few more at Whitewater Preserve.
