Is the road/trail leading north from Hurkey Creek Campground to May Valley Road open now? I know that it was closed in the original closure order after the Mountain Fire.

OK, I've answered my own question. I found this map on the SBNF website:
It shows sections 32 and 29 that the Hurkey Creek Road/Trail passes through are still closed except for May Valley Road. So, unfortunately, the Hurkey Creek Road/Trail could not be used as a PCT bypass for the Mountain Fire Closure. On the above map, I've sketched in (freehand) the Hurkey Creek Road/Trail. The portion shown in green is open. The portion shown in red is closed.
