Current trail and peak conditions

Hey folks, I'll be in San Diego either later this week, or possibly early next week. I'm considering taking a day off and doing the awesome hike up to the tram station, possibly up to San Jacinto Peak. What are the current trail conditions upto the tram, and the conditions from there to the summit? Will I need traction (microspikes/crampons)? I did the hike up to the tram station last year in Dec (dry trail conditions then), and this has become one of my favorite hikes.

There is a big storm on the way. We could get several feet of snow on the upper mountain.
