Permit Availablitly this weekend?

Postby makejelone » Wed Oct 22, 2014 11:01 am

Hey guys,

A group of about 4 of us are heading up this weekend. We didn't have enough time to mail in a request form. I have a pretty good chance of getting a wilderness permit at the ranger station right? Theres not really a chance all spots will be filled?

Thanks
Jake

Which trailhead? I think only Humber Park has a quota. Other trails and the tramway have no limits for day hikers.

Last weekend (Oct 18) on Saturday night Round Valley was fairly full, but Tamarack Valley (right next door) had plenty of spots open. I think that you'll have no problem getting a spot in one of the two campgrounds as the summer season is over. Don't forget that it's five bucks per person to camp overnight.

NOTE that there is NO WATER in Round Valley, so you'll have to carry it all with you from the tram...
