Likin' the forecast for Friday thru Sunday

Those are some nice temps for Skyline and it's not even October yet! I just might be out there myself, though I may have to go Sunday. Starting out at 63 degrees sounds most excellent, especially since the high for Saturday is only 87 the rocks won't be glowing with infrared heat like they often are following a 100+ degree day. Anyone going?

Anyone going?

Probably around 14,000,000,000,000 hikers.

haha :P
I am so on again and off again on this form being a once a year C2C hiker, but I have become used to everyones personality.
As soon as I saw the comment about 14 gazabillion hikers I knew immediately it was Hal ! haha.

I love you guys!
But if it matters, there will be one less this year, no C2C4 for me. Work/life/kids wins the attention prize for the next couple of months, so planning for next year, but will read the forum with enthusiasm and envy 8)

All my best to my less latitude challenged hiking friends.

Hi Scott. Too bad you can't make it down, the conditions are perfect. Still, the mountain will be here next year...maybe get the family to do it with you one of these years? I've tried at my house but no takers. I got them up to the picnic tables once - it took an hour - and they all swore never again. And that was on a nice cool day! Ah well...

Anyone going this Sunday? I'm a noob in so-so condition, an avid hiker at heart but that's about it lately, but have done C2C twice. Once just up to tram and more recently last year late May completed it, though at a casual pace. It was tough but I never really felt like quitting or turning back. I started just before sunrise. I got lazy at long valley and roamed around wasting time, then took a nap, and finally meandered on up to the peak. I came back down in the dark and barely made the last tram down. This time however, I'll be a bit more disciplined with my pace! No lazing about and such. Went alone last time but would be nice to go in a group for moral support! Either way, happy hiking all,

I was slow to approve Sayed as a new user. Sorry.

Thanks Perry and no worries I ended up not doing it anyways. However if anyone is game to go in Nov, maybe thanksgivings weekend? Let me know I'm up for it. Wait what's weather conditions like around then? Don't fancy crampons n picks n such.

Happy hiking,

Unlikely for there to be ice (possible though). Usually a little snow around Thanksgiving. Somebody will probably report conditions from weekend before.
