Not much news but someone died in a fall at Tahquitz. I suspect it may have been a climber but not sure. Condolences to family and friends.

Very sad, is it just me or has there been a lot of incidents on San Jac this year. As I type this my co workers from Cal Fire are on another rescue out of Humber Park being aided by air assets, and RMRU I'm sure.

Thank you for posting that link to supertopo, Bluerail. I am not quite sure if I read the posts right, but it sounds as if the leader of their climbing group accidentally knocked down a very large slab, which hit the person who then fell? Did other people read it that way too?

However it happened, it's very sad. My condolences to his family.

I think the lead climber was the person who was killed.
