Postby Florian » Thu Jul 03, 2014 10:37 am

Wen and i took a little vacation trip to northern Arizona and southern Utah last week including Grand Canyon north rim, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef national parks. Not really a hiking trip altho i did do a few simple day hikes. Thought some of you might enjoy the photos ..

Great shots Florian.

That Navajo Loop trail looks like the 405 Freeway at rush hour.

That Dear looks to be a serious hunter.

And a dog with his own milk crate is perfect in Utah :D

I see you conscientiously kept your partner well "hydrated" :-)

Thanks for the pics and travel report, Florian.
Looks like a wonderful relaxing time together.

That is such beautiful country, whether out and about on trail or eyeballing it as you roll down the road

bonus: star party! kinda sorta

kind regards,

Hi Florian. Lots of great shots, and I love how you somehow really caught the 3d appearance in "Beckoning Road". Were the clouds low? Did you use an unusual lens?

I see there was some sort of astronomy going on there, did you and Wen have a chance to enjoy some views through the telescopes?

Zip, all shots were with an iPhone 5s. Mostly overcast skies for the star party but we did have an excellent view of Saturn through a 6" refractor.
