Curious if anyone has hiked it lately and did the fires from 1-2 years ago hit it? I was thinking of doing this, its been about 3 years since I've last been on it.

I did a through hike last May going from Palm Canyon to Morris Ranch trailhead. However as far as i know the upper section of the trail is still under Mountain Fire closure. This includes Cedar Spring trail and PCT north from the Morris Ranch trail junction. I was just up Palm Canyon West Fork this morning and was thinking i'd really like to do the hike again once closure is lifted.

Realized i didn't really answer your question. Yes, the fires burned out the area thoroughly. Pretty much everything above the trail junction where the Pelton trail comes in from the north at around 2200' level burned. Saddest area for me is the Pelton trail stream crossing. Used to be such a nice shady area to cool off on a warm day. All the cottonwoods are gone and it looked like this today ...
