There is very good water crossing the trail at the usual point at roughly 9440 ft a little ways below Little Round Valley, but none in LRV itself. The flow where the water crosses the trail at the Deer Springs trail camp at around 8825 ft is a bit weak, but OK.
Great thanks. The deer springs trail camp, is that open to camping for anyone. I think I've seen trail workers camp there but I don't know much about it.
Not sure. Personally I wouldn't want to camp there. I have seen folks camping quite near the trail at a few level spots not far beyond the point in question and I doubt you would be hassled if you chose a spot within a short walk of the water but not visible from the trail. Check with the ranger station about camping regulations if you want to be 100% legal. Or search this site, I'm sure there are posts covering the rules.
