Water Sources on San Jacinto

I'm planning to head up to Idyllwild next weekend (4/26-27) and would like to get a big day in on the trails. I'll probably start from Deer Springs.

Does anyone know of current water sources on the trails or the best place to find the info?

I doubt if you'll find much running water below Deer Springs Trail Camp. Last I checked Strawberry Cienega was dry. Not sure about Wellmans Cienega. There was a trickle in Tahquitz Creek where the PCT crosses when I was there 3 weeks ago.

I'm planning a 2 nighter at little round valley via Fuller Ridge in mid May. Anyone know if the creek will be flowing by then? And will the road up Black mtn be open by then?

Anyone know if there is water at lrv? I'm looking to do an overnight loop from south ridge to strawberry to lrv to camp. I would assume there would be water at deer springs and above to lrv. How about wellman cienega?

I called the Ranger Station yesterday and he, Red, informed me that it was very dry up there but water at Round Valley Camp. Not really sure about LRV but probably dry in that area also. He told me it was a 1 mile hike to Round Valley from Wellman so when I go up next month I just might fill up at Round Valley on my way to Little Round Valley. Will be leaving from Humber and just don't want to lug a lot of water and I will definitely call again before I go.

Hiked to the peak via Marion Mountain trail this past Sunday. There is very good water crossing the trail at the usual point at roughly 9440 ft a little ways below Little Round Valley, but none in LRV itself. The flow where the water crosses the trail at the Deer Springs trail camp at around 8825 ft is a bit weak, but OK.

Great thanks. The deer springs trail camp, is that open to camping for anyone. I think I've seen trail workers camp there but I don't know much about it.
