A hiker fell to his death on San Gorgonio earlier this week.
Anyone know more details?

Oddly, at that very moment, I was sitting at the summit of San Gorgonio enjoying the view, eating my lunch, and hanging out with friends, totally unaware that the tragedy was taking place. We had come up by way of Vivian Creek Trail which was fairly snow-free and ice-free.

I would recommend staying off the north and east faces of Gorgonio unless you are properly equipped and trained for ice until conditions improve.

My condolences to family and friends of the hiker.
