OK, that's the same date as my guide.

I didn't get a chance to look in detail, but as I mentioned Alger Creek Camp is in the wrong spot and the Aspen Grove Trailhead is completely wrong.

Take any roads or trails in the Big Meadow/Heart Bar/Aspen Grove area with a grain of salt. For sure the trail downstream from the Aspen Grove TH, the real Aspen Grove TH, no longer goes through to the Santa Ana River Trail. Upstream, the trail from the Aspen Grove TH follows the west bank of the creek for most of the way. If you stay on the East side you'll be fine but you won't be on a trail even though there are some remains of an old road.

HJ, thanks, I'll note the changes on my copy of the SGW Guide.

If I continue my rotation between wilderness areas, I'll be in SGW this weekend. My youthful hiking partners are half my age and prefer to hike wearing flip-flops, in part so that I can almost keep up with them. With naked toes they hope to get their fill of elevation hiking before snow-covered trails force their frost-bitten toes to lower mountain ranges.
