Caramba is more likely (but not guaranteed) to have water since it's well down stream and multiple creeks have added their waters to the overall flow. Haven't been there this year and that's all I can offer. Sorry.
If you're doing a day hike, just plan on carrying your water. If you want to do an overnighter, pack all your water (or wait until Spring when you can count on water).
For hikes with water right now, there's a decent but not great amount of water in the nearby San Gorgonio Wilderness. I was at Alger, Dobbs, and Saxton about a month ago, plenty of water. I was at Fish Creek yesterday, plenty of water. The Johns Meadow area also had water.
There are also hikes in the San Gabriels with water. I was at Little Jimmy last month; plenty of water. I was at Devil's Canyon a couple of weeks ago. The trail camp itself is dry, but water is available about .5 miles downstream.
