Indianhead Xctry Hike With Sheep Viewing

The desert hike season is starting back and I took my first trip into the mountains above Anza Borrego with a cross-country hike up the north face of Indianhead to the summit and then down one of the slot canyons into Palm Canyon for a great loop hike. The day was perfect and the sky was clear as we made the hike with some great weather, some great wildflowers and best of all a long and close encounter with three Bighorn Sheep just below the summit. As it starts to get cold and snowy in San J, G and A; don't forget there is great desert hiking available nearby this winter season.

A few weeks away from getting back out yet but improving. I'm taking satisfaction in the fact I had such a great Bighorn encounter on the hike to offset the downtime.
