Cy is the young, good looking one, right?

Cy and Skyline

Postby DancesWithTheMountains » Mon Nov 11, 2013 3:47 pm

Hi Cy,
I saw your reply to the 200 year old man!!! LOL! Saturday was my 278 climb on skyline. Cannot believe how time has gone by when it was just you and me and a few others on this trail. We need to get you back and just do one all together and take the whole day and have a good time. I'll come and pick you up the night before and you can stay with me and we can meet up with the skyline regulars and have a good old "original skyliners" hike. We will go up the real trail, which I still pretty much do and with Scott, Ellen, Andy and a few more of the original skyliners, we can have a great day. Of course we want the new skyliners to join us in celebration of SKYLINE: OLD AND NEW LEGENDS.
Love to you

I'm not Cy

Thanks guys and especially you Doreen. I always wanted to be picked up by a kick ass attractive hiker, but my wife would get a fit. :-)
I could meet you in the Rialto Walmart parking lot (Riverside Bl and Valley Bl) any time after midnight. I hope my back doesn't give out on me half way up or more and I would have to be rescued. I know I can still make it up the Tramway road if you don't want to risk it. Another alternative is for me to take the Greyhound bus to Palm Springs.

Howdy Cameron :)

Dude, it's the beard

I am often asked how old I am when I meet other hikers on Baldy -- the blonde hair and sun damaged skin make me look older. I kept telling one gentleman that I was younger than I looked and finally told him I was 59. His response -- "Only 59?"

I love it when I'm mistaken for Doreen the Skyline Queen.

I fell in love with this forum when I discovered it in early 2007 and met Cy and Z-dude on Skyline shortly thereafter.

I would love to see Cy back on Cyline 8)

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

Hi Florian,
Of course you can come!!!(lol) Your one of the original skyliners. Would love to have you come along. I'm still working on this idea. Hopefully we can get Cy to do it. IF not, then maybe we could all meet up and do it in his honor.
