Hm. Thanks for posting. Moral: it may not be August anymore, but it's still pretty warm out there, and Skyline is still pretty hard. :)

We were up there and encountered the man who was rescued. He and his friend had left at 4:30 am and the temps were not bad. As far as we know, the hikers were fit and experienced.
Thanks to all those on the trail who helped out and the rescuers, he is now doing well.
