Silver fire ...

Cannot see the mountain for the smoke. Much darker (redder) here in Palm Springs than Mountain fire or yesterday's tram station fire. Very ugly outside.

The smoke is so bad here (even) in Cathedral City that I am actually about to put my kids in the car and drive east. We are wearing bandanas over our face! This is frickin unbelievable.

Scary and worrisome. Its now headed towards Cabazon. I could see the fire from Little Mountain in San Bernadino at 5.00 am

From the article:
An unspecified “weather shift” could move in on Saturday
I wonder what they're referring to.

There's nothing obvious (as of this writing) in the forecast.
