Anyone know the name of this plant?

The blossoms of chinquapin have such a loathsome odor that I refer to it as "stinka-pin."

Unfortunately I used that term in front of some impressionable folk who henceforth cannot help but call it that. And so it goes.

Hate to have a taste of honey from stinka-pin blossoms.

Give me blue M n M honey any day, instead:

I refer to white buckthorn as razor wire bush or f--kthorn It's a pain even with pants. Not too fond of bushwhacking through Manglenita either.

Hey Noidy -- Sally also calls Chinquapin Stinkapin as well as Sinkapin (what happens sometimes when you try to snowshoe over it )

Whenever I have to bushwhack through these three, I feel like I've been attacked by demonic cougars.
