NOAA actually broke out the "Cold" icon. As Harris Telemacher would say, it's gonna be "a real weenie shrinker!"

I wish some moisture would come with it. The ski coverage is still lacking.

Howdy SDtrackrunner

All of us polar bears are doing a snow dance

I'm thinking of heading up to the tram on Fri and snowshoeing to the peak. Probably not enough coverage to do the traditional winter route.

At least I've been able to climb the Baldy bowl twice this season.

Hope to see you in this neck of the woods soon.

Hoping to see you too Ellen. I usually run into you at least a few times each snow season.

Good luck on Friday. I may head up on Saturday but I'm not sure. I may wait for more snow.

There's plenty of snow for skiing if you know where to look. I've been making some really good turns in the low angle glades skier's right of the winter trail.

The low on the summit is going to be 1 (one) Fahrenheit? If there's the least bit of wind chill (the forecast says "breezy"), the temps will effectively be sub-zero. :shock:

Even Ellen might have to put on long pants in that weather.

That is one cold forecast. Too cold to snow much.

Growing up in upstate NY, when the temperture would drop way below freezing we'd usually have blue sky and little snow. We'd say, "it's too cold to snow." I suppose it's just that the clouds keeps the temperature from dropping too low.
