Guadalupe to Sugarloaf Cafe

General Palm Springs area.

Ah. That's a junction? Pretty counterintuitive. I thought from the name that it might just go up Guadalupe Canyon.

Well, interesting stuff anyway. A bit beyond my normal range (it's about 5 hours drive R.T. from Glendale). Maybe some day.

Ah. Interesting routing. Thank you, Florian.

Perhaps the lower stretches of Guadalupe Canyon are pretty rugged, so they bypassed them?

The lower reaches of Guadalupe are EXTREMELY rugged with big falls. The ridges around Guadalupe are very steep and the rock is lousy. By using the Boo Hoff from Devil Canyon those areas can be bypassed or you can access the trail from the top of the Cove as well. I've looked for a trail up from Guadalupe itself that stays near the creek but I've been unable to find it…yet.
