Overnighter on Mt. San Jacinto

Postby fishn4lamo » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:57 am

Good Morning Everyone! I am new here but was researching the weather conditions for an overnighter on Mt San Jacinto tonite and came across this website. We plan on going up in a few hours, staying the night, and then start towards the peak first thing in the morning. It is our first time going to Mt. San Jacinto so any advice would help. I am becoming somewhat sketchy of the weather and am wondering if we need to pick up crampons prior to making an attempt?

If you take the tram up, there are good trails from there to the peak that do not require any special gear.
