XC route from SF Wilderness boundary to High Meadow Springs

Southern California and far-away places. Hiking, wildlife, cycling etc.

Hey!!! I had to search far and wide to find that tape in pink !!!

You mean that kind they tie onto branches? Some equestrians do that near where I live and the pieces are sometimes too high to reach...it is an eyesore and it'd be no problem if they'd just take it down when they're done...how hard is that?

Steve, you've gotta try this out with me, it's a fun route.

Yes, the tape that people tie onto branches. It's not a big deal if people remove it on the way out, but it just bugs me when they leave it. If someone really felt the need to mark the route, ducks would be better than tape. Ducks are easier to knock down too - I'm too short to reach some of the tape that gets tied to branches.

The only flagging tape i've every really noticed was from tramway to Round Valley along the route the motorized transporters use. The route is very obvious and there is no need for the flagging. Are they still running the transporters to RV? I haven't been up the tram after the maintenance closure.

I pulled a bunch of that tape down one day a while back (last year sometime) when hiking to Round Valley- I was shocked to see the tape and tire tracks - it was a mess. That tape was orange, not pink.
