The Riverside County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit was called out to help find the hikers and located them at the top of the Aerial Tramway

Actually, climbing on top of the tram building was a smart move. I'm sure they were easy to spot there.

LOL, HJ!! However I disagree that the lost hikers made a smart move by climbing on top of the tram. They would have had an even better chance of being rescued had they downclimbed into the tram bar.

Cy, thanks for that interesting link. I didn't realize, actually, that the tram construction was considered so complex. An eighth wonder of the world--who knew?
