Not really, and from checking around, most people don't. Some have argued that Telescope Peak in Death Valley should be considered part of Southern California. Perhaps.

I just listed out the peaks that are for sure Southern Cal, approximately 24 of them if you include them all, but only 19 if you include only those recognized by the HPS.

Just something to look at if you're looking for a hike... "Hey, I've never done that peak before." You know.

Jim, ah ok, interesting! I always considered Owens and Olancha to be socal. I guess I'm too lenient when it comes to boundaries and limits.. and rules too for that matter

By the way HJ, I might give that xc route from the boundary straight to HMS a shot this weekend. If I do, I hope to go by way of Glacier Valley. I'll post a TR with pics if I make it.
