Skyline Fastest time: where is the finish line?

Ive heard that the fastest time on Skyline is around 2:29. Some say that the time is from the museum to Grubbs notch, and others say that its from the museum to the tram door. Does anyone know what it really is? Im planning on running and timing the route sometime between Oct-Nov of this year, aiming for a sub 2:30.

As soon as the course you refer to becomes official, someone will want to establish a race on it, and then the mountain will become more shredded than it already is. So I say, just say no. Have fun, get in shape, and enjoy one of the greatest trail options to the top of San J (there's lots of ways to get up there). Let's not make it a competition, but by all means challenge yourself and get faster. Love to see all the fitness freaks on this site!! Awesome!!

My unofficial answer is, it's the tram door, of course!!

I've been working on my PR this summer & just tagged it at 2:50. I'm also looking forward to this fall for some cooler temps. so I can cut this time down and maybe even go for a FKT.

I've been thinking about giving this another go as well and would like to do it with others if possible. I could likely only do it on Wednesdays which is probably not going to work for most people...

Also, anyone know of the fastest time to the summit and C2C roundtrip? I recently saw a comment on the internet which suggested the fastest time to the summit is 3:08 but know nothing else or whether that is even true.

Disregard the 3:08 time. I misinterpreted the meaning of "C2C" in a post I read. I thought it meant cactus to clouds but it instead meant car-to-car.
