San Jac State Park backcountry reopened

Postby guest » Fri Aug 24, 2007 1:56 pm

Hi,
The Sate Park has re-opened the back country for day use only. Apparently they are not allowing overnight camping at this point.
The State Park website, as of 2pm still said the back country was closed, but I spoke w/ a ranger & checked with the tram website.

So, yippee, I can hike to San Jac peak instead of burning my way up the "long route" from the bottom.

If were lucky (minus the threat of lightning) we'll get a little rain up there over the wkend.

Howdy Guest,

I hear you about not burning up Skyline -- although I'm not sure if you're referring to your fast pace or the weather  In my case, it would be the weather.

I'll pray for rain and hope the lightening doesn't start a new fire.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen
