Climbing Toro Peak in August - recommended first aid?

Postby johnw01 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 3:51 am

Hey all,

I plan on climbing, or at least attempting to climb, Toro Peak in a couple of months, and I'd be interested to know if anybody here brings any first aid kit, and if so what would you recommendations be?

Thanks,
John

Toro Peak? In August?

Um, isn't it going to be a little hot?

Bandaids, duct tape, and analgesics.

Yep, it'll be hot, but it's the only month I've got free

Sally, thanks: I've added these to the list! Duct tape is something I'd never have considered.

You might bring a fire extinguisher. I think it's on fire right now.

Seems the fire was near Anza but smoke had Toro blocked for a while.

Toro Peak from where?

And no, I don't carry a first aid kit unless you count some kleenex, a couple bandanas and duct tape. Oh, and Vicodin.
