I hiked South Fork up to Dollar Lake Saddle and then west to Alto Diablo peak and back today. Dollar Lake is dry.

Yipes! It's early for $ Lake to be dry. Did you check the spring at the head of the lake? Any water there?

No, didn't check the spring. Just looked down to the lake from north of the saddle and saw it was empty and dry.
