Just wanted to thank you all for the helpful info. 3 of us went to the SJ peak this past saturday and we LOVED IT! What a picturesque mountain, everything so clean and well kept. You can tell the people who spend time up there treat it like it's their own - because it is. I watched hikers picking up trash as they walked and moving debris as well. I honestly have to say that seeing this was even more impressive than the view from the peak. Very cool!
We got up there at 8:30am and returned to the car at 7:30pm. It was a perfect day, and an excellent trip. This was the first of many trips I hope to make up there, particularly one I'm thinking to do this winter
