Does parking at the South Ridge trailhead in Idyllwild require an Adventure Pass?

It seems like there are a lot of changes going on with the Adventure Pass requirements.

Indeed...

The recent Ninth Circuit opinion puts essentially the entirety of the fee program (as it was previously administered) on extremely shaky ground.

As discussed in the LA Times article, the USFS is scrambling to dial the program back to a more defensible scope. But even a fairly casual read of the opinion reveals that they are overreaching in at least a few of the places where they plan to continue charging a fee. (At least with respect to those who enter the area but do not actually use the facilities.)

In the meantime, I've been putting out my "Pass to Adventure" when I'm out for a hike. Haven't had any issues thus far. :lol:

So it looks like no Adv. Pass is required for the South Ridge Trail, yes? Am I reading the map right?

So Adventure Passes are no longer required for the road up Toro Peak? Is there a similar map for the San Gorgonio side of the pass?

Also, if i'm reading the Black Mtn detail map correctly, you can park for Fuller Ridge without a pass if you park on the main road. Looks like the spur road to the trailhead is within the fee zone?
