Well, maybe that's good (maybe she's not grimacing about the hike itself).

One thing I'll say for sure: Michiko is a tough little trooper. I've taken her on some hikes where the guide book was way low-balling the difficulty or where the weather really turned on us. She's hung in under both circumstances.
