I did the hike from the 10Fwy to Strawberry Junction on Mon-Thursday.
You will find your first small patch of snow at mile 191 of the PCT. There will be small patches between there and fuller ridge. However, once you get past Fuller Ridge, the trail is about 50% snow until you get just past the SJ trail.
There is one area of constant snow near the SJ trail.
Although I had my snowshoes with me, I didn't use them.
Yeah, I postholed several times up to my hips in that section... but it wasn't bad.
I just didn't want to bother with putting them on and taking them off repeatedly so I just left them off.
